No great loss
So Vladimir Putin is to boycott the London 2012 Olympics, sending
his robotic crony, Dmitry Medvedev, in his place.
This is actually for the best because it would be uncomfortable, indeed
unsuitable, to have at such a global celebration, a person who holds out
against the world (witness the overwhelming vote condemning Syria from the UN
General Assembly), a man who, no less, sponsors and protects child killers,
taking the Syrian regime line that this was the work of rebels. As it says in Proverbs, Chapter 17, Verse 15
(King James version) “He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the
just, even they both are abomination to the Lord.” Says it all really.
