Trash can tot
Walking to church today with Altaa, going in an opposite
direction we saw a family of four, mum and dad and two boys, one about five and
the other not older than two (but walking).
You would think the toddler would have limited opportunities with both
parents in close proximity, but their eyes needed to wander for only a second
and he had gone and picked up a crushed cider can from the gutter. Mum reacted to hoist him up but far from
being disorientated thus dropping the tin, he retained an iron grip on his new,
shiny possession, so much so that his mum had to prise the rubbish from his
hand. The perils of parenthood,
something for which Altaa and I must prepare.
